AGM voting processes and Committee roles

Diamond Valley Singers is an incorporated body, and so voting must take place on an annual basis for office bearers. Each February the DVS committee comes up for re-election. All adult members of DVS are welcome and encouraged to be involved in our groups ongoing planning and management. It is a wonderful way to help with the workings of a choral/theatre group. All positions are declared vacant, votes are cast by current fully paid members. You can consider nominating someone or being nominated to join the committee at the Annual General Meeting. New committee members are always welcome. Your talents can be used in many ways! Why not consider this opportunity to get closer to how the theatre really does work! Nominations are sought for:

President - The President is responsible for the leadership, direction and coordination of the activities of DVS.
Vice President - The Vice President is responsible for the coordination of the activities of DVS.
Secretary - The secretary is responsible for effective maintenance and management of records of DVS and to assist the president to perform duties.
Treasurer - The treasurer is responsible for all incoming and outgoing finances of DVS.
General committee members - A general committee member provides support to the President, Vice President, Secretary and other General Committee members to ensure the DVS sets and meets its goals and objectives.
