2011, Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise, Hopkins' Honour the Earth and Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Christmas Carols

MD Ian Lowe, performed jointly with the YVS, Singularity, the Maroondah Singers and the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra., and also by DVS (with friends) in the Uniting Church at Melton.

Mendelssohn wrote the Hymn of  Praise at the end of his second symphony, as a tribute to Beethoven’s ninth, the ‘choral’. It was performed with a massed choir at Yarra Valley Grammar School at the end of November.
